Luke and Naomi leaving on a jetplane

- RIGHT NOW! -

7 weeks left to go!

Wow, I didn't realize that we get to see our little one so soon. And there's still so much things to prepare. It is hard not to worry. I guess we can't be completely ready, but just gotta take it one step at a time once the baby is out.

We both went to the midwife last week. She is such a great and helpful woman, and I'm so glad that we get to go to her. When she was listening to baby's heartbeat she asked if we knew if it was gonna be a boy or a girl. I answered no, but as I saw she had a very cheeky smile on her face I quickly asked "Do you??". She answered "I have an idea". I couldn't hold my curiousity back any longer so I said "Please tell us!"

She said that our baby's heart rate was 150, and normally girls has a higher heart rate than boys. Boys usually has a heart rate between 130-140, while girls usually has a heart rate between 150-160. She said in general the girls were more stressed than boys even from the womb, haha! How true.

Also she said that you could sometimes tell by how the tummy looked like if it was going to be a boy or a girl. With boys your tummy sometimes sticks more out, while with girls the tummy looks more wide. My tummy is definitely more wide than sticking out.

The midwife clearly said that she couldn't be 100% sure, so we should still be buying clothes with neutral colours :)
